Job Description

The Registered Dental Assistant will be responsible for assisting the dentist in all aspects of dentistry and performing extra-oral duties or functions under the general or direct supervision of the dentist.

Your Role:

  • Assists the Dentist in all phases of four-handed dentistry
  • Places and removes rubber dams, pours and trims models for diagnostic studies and takes impressions for diagnostic and opposing models
  • Assists the dentist and hygienist to provide special knowledge on the preventive aspect of oral health to center patients.
  • Prepare all rooms by setting up tables and trays with all of the necessary instruments.
  • May be required to work week nights and weekends.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current California RDA license and/or Certified by the State of California to take dental x-rays preferred.
  • Knowledge in assisting the dentist in four-handed dentistry.
  • English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental assistant principles and practices, procedures for taking dental x-rays and how to sterilize instruments.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
