Job Description
Are you an expert in healthcare revenue cycles with a knack for professional medical office operations? We are one of the largest healthcare employers in California searching for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Billing Representative to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Process Medicare paper applications and other enrollment requests, ensuring all information is accurate and complies with regulations
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues related to enrollment, eligibility, and other data discrepancies
- Document all contacts and follow-up actions accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) and other systems
- Identify, investigate, and report enrollment issues, errors, or discrepancies, and collaborate with the team to find solutions
- Participate in departmental meetings, in-services, and training sessions to stay updated and contribute to ongoing improvements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years experience working in Healthcare Revenue Cycle or a Professional Medical Office
- Understanding of professional claims and billing procedures
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and alternate between telephone and non-telephone tasks
- Proficiency in using computer applications like Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of managed care plans, Medi-Cal, and Medicare programs is a plus
