Job Description
Are you a caring and attentive Medical Assistant who enjoys helping all patients when they need assistance? If yes, then this may be an opportunity that interests you! We are one of the largest healthcare providers in California and we are looking to add a front & back office Medical Assistant to our team!
Front Office MA Duties:
- Provide a welcoming and comforting setting to incoming patients
- Answer phones and direct callers to back-office staff
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Prepare new patient documents and enter new patient information
- Collect insurance information & verify insurance
- Process authorizations and referrals
- Provide assistance to patients
- Update all information in EMR system
Back Office MA Duties:
- Room and assist patients
- Take vitals, draw blood, give injections & administer medication
- Review charts, update records, document patient visits in EMR system
- Ear lavage
- Process EKG s
- Provide prescription information to patients
- Prep rooms for next patient & sterilize instruments as needed
- Back up the front desk as needed
- Assist the Doctor with various procedures as requested
What are the qualifications?
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of Front Office experience
- Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS Certificate
- Experience with EMR systems
- Working knowledge of Medi-CAL, Medicare and managed care insurances
