This medical group is a leader in the field of wellness services through diverse communities. This Healthcare Center is seeking a Bilingual Medical Interpreter for their Feliz facility. Each facility is extremely focused on the well-being and servicing of their diverse patients.
What you will be doing:
- Assist with interpretation for all medical, non-medical services
- Intake limited-English patients, assist with health history and financial screening
- Education patients and provide lab results.
- Provide translation materials for clinical and non-clinical operations
- Interpret on some medical visits with patients
- Aid as a cultural and linguistic resource for both patients and staff.
- Answer phones, make appointments and check patients in and out.
- Aid nursing staff and providers with patient triage and follow-up.
What we need you to have:
- Fluency in English and second language, either Chinese, Bengali, Thai, or Japanese
- Strong oral and written skills and understanding of translation process.
- At least 1+ years of experience an interpreter with strong medical vocabulary.
- Familiarity and experience with diversity of cultural backgrounds of patients to be served.
- Ability to use computer and open to learning medical software.
- Knowledge and familiarity with clinical setting preferred.
