Well established managed healthcare organization seeking experienced analyst for direct hire opportunity. The Business Analyst will be tasked with the creation of in-depth report creation and analysis that assess company performance and evaluate strategic initiatives.
Collects and researches requirements for projects, identifies requirements, gathers workflow data and basic system and reporting specifications.
Develops, implements, and supports common business processes and tools.
Recommends basic alternatives to address problems.
Assesses and manages risks to minimize impact to the overall operations and/or project.
Provides 2nd and 3rd tier application support for assigned application(s).
Identifies opportunities for process improvement; makes associated recommendations and implements as appropriate.
Collaborates with leadership team to design meaningful reports to support the business units.
Support business initiatives through data analysis, identification of implementation barriers and user acceptance testing of new systems.
Identify and analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing processes.
Perform detailed analysis on assigned projects, recommend potential business solutions and assist with implementation.
Identify ways to enhance performance management and operational reports related to new business implementation processes.
Develop and incorporate organizational best practices into business applications.
Lead problem solving and coordination efforts between various business units.
Assist with formulating and updating departmental policies and procedures.
Develops and maintains processes and tools for reporting of performance metrics, trend analysis, capitation analysis, benchmarks, and overall costs for business unit.
Develops and maintains Microsoft Access and SQL database(s) to support monthly analysis.
Develops reports within business unit using SSRS, Crystal Reports, MS Access and other tools.
Develops project requirements by meeting with stake holders and interpreting requests.
Develops and maintains complex SQL queries including creation of stored procedures and views.
Manages multiple projects and priorities to successfully completes projects timely
Develops and maintains documentation.
Assist with projects as needed.
3-5 years experience in Health care industry (health plan or IPA setting).
2-3 years experience with Microsoft SQL creating complex queries.
2-3 years experience with report development using software MS Access, SQL, and Crystal Reports.
A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with leadership team.
