We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our dynamic Infusion Medicine department. Responsibilities:

  • Obtain authorizations and pre-certifications for infusion medications, adhering to insurance policy requirements
  • Accurately document data in practice management software and EHR systems
  • Place professional and courteous telephone calls to patients, insurance companies, physicians, and pharmacies
  • Attend departmental meetings and communicate changes to relevant personnel
  • Perform tasks according to departmental policies and protocols
  • Cross-train in various department functions as needed
  • Assist in training new staff members
  • Attend educational seminars/webinars to maintain proficiency
  • Collaborate directly with the Director of Infusion Medicine
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of Medical Office experience and EHR experience
  • High school diploma
  • Managed Care Experience Preferred
