Job Description
Temporary Internal Medicine LVN $25-29 an hour Our client is searching to hire a Licensed Vocational Nurse through the month of January to assist with Quantiferon blood draws off-site for the City of Sacramento Firefighters. This LVN will also spend a lot of time supporting the medical assistants and providers including rooming, injections and such. This is a very hands on LVN role and we need a positive team player that expects to be working with patients all the time and not sitting at a desk.
Job duties and tasks:
- Performs patient care services that support physicians.
- Assist in prepping patients for examinations or procedures
- assisting with procedures
- relaying instructions from the physician to a patient or authorized person, and collecting patient data
- Documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patients medical record for the physician's review.
- Administrating medications specifically directed by the physician and performing accurate vital sign measurements and documentation.
- Providing leadership to support staff
The Licensed Vocational Nurse maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment, and performs patient care services that support the physician / providers. Mentoring and prepping patients for examinations or procedures, assisting with procedures, relaying instructions from the physician to a patient or authorized person, and collecting patient data. Training on documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patients medical record for the physician's review. What you must have to be considered: Three years of experience in an outpatient setting as a LVN. High School Diploma or GED Active Licensed Vocational Nurse License Person must be available: Jan 2-5, 10, 16, 17, 19, 22-26, 29 and 31 Hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Your career is our purpose!
