Job Description

We looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Medical Assistant to join our team! We are the fifth largest healthcare system in the nation and the largest not-for-profit hospital provider in California! Responsibilities:

  • Verify insurance eligibility, process referrals and authorizations
  • Assist patient, manage phones, and schedule patient appointments
  • Assist doctors with procedures
  • Room and check patient vitals
  • Update EMR system
  • Handle pharmacy requests
  • Perform EKG S, injections and blood draws

Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Diploma or Certificate
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active CPR/BLS certificate
  • 6+ months experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant (preferred)
  • 6+ months experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Office Receptionist (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Medical terminology
  • Familiarity with CPT and IDC-9 coding procedures
