Your Role as a Medical Assistant:

  • Register patients, schedule appointments, determine financial and eligibility status of the patient to see if they are eligible for services.
  • Follows HIPAA regulations at all times.
  • Performs laboratory screenings and injections under supervision.
  • Assist members of all departments as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all departments within the clinic and patient areas.
  • Participate in meetings and trainings for implementation of new practice management systems.
  • Assist patients by accurately filling out any clinic forms or documentation.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current valid certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • Medical Assistant or receptionist in a healthcare setting experience.
  • Knowledge of patient billing procedures and insurance verification.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software & EMR experience.
  • Able to type 35 WPM.
  • Medical Assistant or receptionist in a healthcare setting experience.
