Medical Assistant

What you will be doing in Medical Assistant:

• Greet patients and visitors in person or on the telephone; answer inquires or refers forward
• Set up exam room
• Record vitals and patient complaints
• Prepare patient and assist with exam as needed
• Triage patients
• Clean and restock rooms as assigned
• Sterilize all instruments
• Draw blood and perform necessary tests or send to labs with completed lab requisition as needed
• Instruct patients regarding test preparation
• Sets up procedure room including the sterile tray
• Assist in phone back up or scheduling as required
• Venipuncture skills

What we need from you:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates degree or higher preferred
• Bilingual Spanish Preferred
• 2-years medical assistant experience
