Medical Client Service Representative*

Essential Job Functions

  • Answer user inquiries via phone and email regarding software operations and medical billing questions to address inquiries or resolve problems
  • Rebilling claims, updating insurance coverage for claim processing and providing status information regarding claims or outstanding A/R
  • Troubleshoot and research problems through reading Knowledge Base Articles, reading Technical Manuals, conferring with other Technical Support Representatives (TSR s), Team Leaders or Supervisors
  • Follow-up in a timely manner with status updates to clients
  • Maintain records daily of each customer case in communication tracking software
  • Contribute to Knowledge Base Articles for sharing with other TSR s
  • Ability to communicate, write clearly and document problems/issues to co-workers and clients
  • Perform other duties as needed and directed by Supervisor or Team Lead

(Preference for applicants flexible to work any shift 6am-6pm Monday - Friday)

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum one year work experience in a customer service, IT support desk or medical office environment
  • Preference for one year work experience in medical billing or claim processing
  • High School diploma required; Associate's Bachelor s degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly phone and email correspondence
  • Ability to listen to and understand client issues and respond appropriately
  • Personal track record of thorough, courteous and responsive customer service
  • Ability to analyze information and use logic to address client issues and problems
  • Ability to calmly manage difficult or emotional customer situations and de-escalate as needed
  • Eagerness to quickly achieve a high level of understanding of the software and configuration options, as well as our billing practices, and communicate the value of these features to clients
  • Ability to teach or educate others on how to work within the software or RCM billing processes
  • Ability to work quickly and independently as part of a team
  • Professional in appearance, language and attitude
  • Ability to conduct training and presentations as needed
