Job Description

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant Back Office or Optometric Assistant to work with a community health group in CA!

What you will be doing as a Medical Back Office Assistant/Optometric Assistant:

You will perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Prepares patients for examination and assists other optical professionals in providing treatment to the eyes.

Chart the examination documenting additions to the chief complaint, assessment and recommendations for treatment.

Collect and document the patient's chief complaint. Verify the patient's ocular, medical, and medications health history

What we need from you:

COA or COT Experience in the Ophthalmic or Optometric Industry experience is preferred.

High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

At least one (1) year of medical experience.

Basic Visual Acuity (VA) assessment. Intraocular pressure (IOP) test with a Tonopen unit.

Topical ophthalmic and dilation medications.

Fundus photos. Visual Field (VF) test.

Flourescein Angiogram (FA) procedure. Indocyanine Green Angiography (ICG) procedure.

Refraction.
