Job Description

Would you like to a chance to get put your medical experience to use providing patients with quick assistance? We are looking for friendly and helpful knowledgeable problem solvers to work in our call center. This center provides patients with convenient access to live clinical and non-clinical support. The nature of the calls may be scheduling appointments or questions about referral status, authorizations, and eligibility of benefits, patient portal registration, physician information or other items.

Position Summary:

  • Handle inbound calls using scripts and training to process
  • Respond to each call efficiently and professionally
  • Document calls using database applications
  • Acts as liaison between members, departments and providers
  • Troubleshoot operational and technical issues
  • Escalate issues as needed
  • Take steps to resolve problems, escalate issues and provide caller satisfaction
  • Assist with specialized reporting and research projects
  • Manage and maintain daily provider schedules for each facility
  • Accurately log inbound and outbound calls into database
  • Responsible for managing the phone system.

Qualifications Needed:

  • 1 year of medical office reception experience
  • High-volume call center experience preferred
  • Familiarity with an electronic practice management system is preferred.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and handle stress
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent decision-making skills
