Job Description

Would you like an opportunity to join a highly-success healthcare organization that provides excellent care in their location in California. This practice focuses on providing cardiovascular services to their patients. We are seeking an experienced Patient Access Associate to join our team!

Essential Duties:

  • Demonstrate a high level of skill at building relationships and customer service
  • Check patients in and out for scheduled appointments
  • Answers incoming calls from patients and assists patients with scheduling needs
  • Triage calls within the department
  • Obtain and enter new patient demographics; update patient information, as necessary, in the computer system to maintain accuracy for billing
  • Obtain and verify patient insurance information (coverage and deductible) utilizing online tools or by contacting insurance companies
  • Schedule/reschedule appointments

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year experience as Front Office Receptionist
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedure codes
