As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be pivotal in delivering an outstanding customer experience while ensuring smooth and accurate patient registration.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathering and verifying demographic, insurance, and medical information to ensure complete and accurate registrations
  • Performing insurance verification and determining medical necessity for services based on established criteria
  • Identifying patient financial responsibilities and collecting applicable payments
  • Acting as a liaison to both internal and external customers, facilitating seamless access to hospital services
  • Securing necessary documentation for patient visits and collaborating with clinical staff to enhance patient satisfaction and departmental efficiency

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working with insurance plans (Medicare, Medicaid, HMO s and PPO s)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in an outpatient setting
