GI OFFICE TRIAGE NURSE, REGISTERED NURSE OR LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE
This is a a busy and fast-paced GI clinic in Sandy, Utah. The team believes in compassion care and exceptional service and our clinic is very patient-focused. This is an exceptional physician group that serves our patient population.
We are looking for an (RN) Registered Nurse or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to support our growing and dynamic team.The RN or LPN works with the practice providers and is expected to have a general knowledge of all clinical operations. The RN or LPN will assist the physician in an out-patient clinic setting.The RN or LPN will provide a professional interface between the patient, provider, Medical Assistant, and front desk throughout the patient visit as well as provide follow up patient communication and education.
RN or LPN Responsibilities include:
  • Timely follow-up and response to patient questions and inbox tasks
  • Prepare documents and notes for patients and physicians
  • Provide clinical support by following up on requests from physicians
  • Assisting doctors with the examination of patients and performance of procedures
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism and compassion in sensitive discussion
  • Scheduling diagnostic procedures; coordinating pre-authorization with insurance as required
  • Schedule office visits when needed
  • Describe diagnostic testing requirements to patients
  • Notifying patients of diagnostic test results (laboratory and radiology) and delivery of follow up instruction
  • Maintaining clean and stockedpatient exam rooms
  • Approve prescription refills and call in new prescriptions; coordinating pre-authorization with insurance
  • Maintain attestations for MIPS and other regulatory bodies as requested
  • Complete MIPS documentation requirements
  • Perform in-office diagnostic procedures
  • Maintain Utah RN or LPN active license status as required by regulatory agencies
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Knowledge:
  • Health care field and medical office protocols/procedures.
  • Specific assisting tasks related to particular medical practice.
  • Information that must be conveyed to patients and families.
  • General computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, EHR)
Experience:
Nursing: 2 years (Required)
License: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Required)
Work authorization: United States (Required)
Nursing Degree: Associates Degree in Nursing (Required)
